(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian University Men's Soccer team started their home slate of play on Saturday afternoon as they played host to the NCAA Division 3 Albion Scots, who are playing their first game of their season today.
The game started with both teams trading offensive possessions, with neither team being able to take control and score. In the ninth minute, Albion struck first in the game as they played quickly following an RCU offside.
RCU was able to even the game in the 15th minute when Andria Mitkovic centered the ball, to Milos Stojakovic put the ball into the back of the net.
Albion controlled the majority of the second half, putting up 10 shots to RCU's six. The Scots put up three goals in the second half with goals in the 57th, 69th, and 74th minutes.
RCU's Kris Tauzik picked up two saves in the loss and moves his record to 0-2-0 on the season.
RCU will begin a road trip following today's match as they head to Mount Vernon Nazarene in Ohio on September 3 for the first of four road games.
