SEASON PREVIEW: Men's Soccer ready to open up 2025 season
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian University Men's Soccer team will open up their 2025 schedule this Thursday as it host Spring Arbor. The team is led by Head Coach Nic Ranieri, who's entering his second season leading the Warriors.

The Warriors finished with an overall record of 3-12-1 last season and a 3-8-1 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) record.

ROCHESTER CHRISTIAN PERSONNEL
The roster this season for the Warriors is headlined by 9 seniors, being led by Vladimir Dokic, Garrett Doud, Danny Gjelaj, Gadiel Herrera, Luka Knezevic, Kristof Manni, Ivan Stojanovic, Kris Tauzik, and Grojan Zilkovski. RCU will also have four juniors on the team, with Nemanja Adamovic, Fadi Ishaq, Andrija Mitkovic, and Uros Pavlovic all on the team.
The underclassmen are headlined by three sophomores in Bowen Mendoza, Shadrack Onyango, and Milos Stojakovic, while there are six incoming freshmen on the team in Anuar Abraham, Luigi Akprom, Jorge Arrondo, Chase Bourdic, Damaso Figueroa, and Boris Lazic.
Tauzik returns after playing every minute in goal last season with 1,440 minutes. Tauzik allowed 3.25 goals against on average, while making 132 saves with one shutout.
The top scorer last season, Ivan Stojanovic, returns after scoring five goals and assisting on 1 other, while Luka Knezevic (2 goals), Garrett Doud (1), and Milos Stojakovic (1) also return. Knezievic was also one of the top assisters on the team last season with a pair of assists.

2025 WHAC PRESEASON POLL
In the 2025 WHAC Preseason Coaches Poll, the Warriors finished in 10th place with 36 points.
The top two voted on teams were Madonna and Indiana Tech as both teams received six first-place votes. Madonna narrowly edged out Indiana Tech by two points as the teams received 136 and 134 points. The remaining top five were Lourdes (107 points), Aquinas (103), and Northwestern Ohio (102).
The final six spots were Lawrence Tech (92), Cleary (67), Cornerstone (60), UM-Dearborn (52), RCU, Siena Heights (34), and Defiance (13).
