Men's Golf competes at the LTU Fall Invitational; Runkel places 6th

(Farmington Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's golf team headed to the Farmington Hills Golf Club to take part in the LTU Fall Invitational on Friday. The Warriors were one of 13 teams at the event, placing 11th with a total score of 312 in the one-round event.

Five different Warriors competed for the event were Daniel Runkel, Max Teschendorf, Alex Steele, Braylon Games, and Tyler Edwards. Runkel led the group with a season-low of 72, placing himself in a tie for 6th. Next was Teschendorf who tallied a 77. 

Steele and Games were the next two scorers with an 81 and 82, respectively, while Tyler Edwards rounded out the group with an 88. 

TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Cleary and Lawrence Tech tied for the top spot for the tournament, each recording a 293. LTU would ultimately take the team title due to having a lower score on the fifth golfer between the two teams. 

Three golfers tied for first-place with Landon Wanless, Bailey Marquart, and Axel Houdaille all recording a 70. Houdaille took the individual title after winning the scorecard playoff.

UP NEXT

The Warriors will be off for 10 days before competing at the Cleary Fall Invite, which will take place at the Moose Ridge Golf Course in South Lyon, Michigan, on October 7.
