Men's Bowling places seventh at the BGSU Falcon Classic
(Monroe, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's bowling team headed to Monroe, Michigan, for the BGSU Falcon Classic at the Monroe Sports Center. The event featured 15 team games, followed by 16 baker games.
RCU finished the event in seventh place, earning a total of 5,847 pins, with 3,035 coming in the team games and 2,812 pins coming from the baker games.
The Warriors' team series average of 1011.67 ranks second in program history for a three-game series.
RCU SCORES
The five Warriors to compete in the varsity section were Brian Henry, Nolan Matz, Clinton Harris III, Alex Miller, and Mike Pupin. Henry started at the top for RCU with an 10th-place finish, knocking down 671 pins and a 257 high game, and that is the fifth-highest mark in program history.
Next up was Nolan Matz with a 600 score over the three games, recording a 217 high game. Clinton Harris III was next for the Warriors, totaling 591 pins and a 225 high game. The final two bowlers were Alex Miller and Mike Pupin, finishing with scores of 590 and 583, respectively. Miller tallied a 223 high game, while Pupin's was a 215.
RCU JV SCORES
In the JV portion of the tournament, RCU finished in third place, earning a total of 5,634 pins overall, with 2,957 coming in the team games and 2,677 coming from the baker sets.

REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES
Spring Arbor earned the top individual spot for the event, totaling 6,356 pins, which was 205 better than second-place Michigan-Dearborn.
Ryen Grigg from Olivet finished atop the individual leaderboard with 750 pins over the three games, and recorded a 269 high game.
