Men's Bowling and Pupin atop the standings at the Warrior Classic

(Flint, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's bowling team hosted the Warrior Classic on Saturday. Saturday's event featured 10 teams, with the teams competing in four team games, followed by 12 baker games. 

 

Taking home the first-place finish, RCU totaled 6,756 pins, 60 better than second-place Madonna, while scoring 4,353 pins in the team games and 2,403 pins in the baker games. 

 

The team series average of 1088.25 is the highest four-game team series mark in program history. 

 

RCU SCORES

Earning first place and setting the program record for a four-game series was Mike Pupin. Pupin totaled 1,058 pins in the four games, and recorded a 289 high game. The second top-10 finisher on the team was Alex Miller, who ended up in 4th place with a score of 915 and a high game of 265. The third top-10 finisher for the varsity team was Brian Henry. Henry totaled a score of 865, while tallying a high game of 238. 

 

Jackson Vlassis also bowled in all four games, totaling a score of 728 and a high game of 202. Two Warriors finished with two games bowled with Clinton Harris III and Nolan Matz finishing with 421 and 366 pins, respectively. Harris III had a high game of 220, while Matz scored a 185. 

 

RCU JV SCORES

As a team the Warriors finished the JV portion of the event in third place. They recorded a total score of 5,894 pins, while scoring 3,746 pins in the team games, before totaling 2,148 pins in the 12 baker games. 

 

Carter Harris bowled the teams second 300 game of the season.
