Men's Bowling places 7th at American Heartland #1
(Canton, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's bowling team headed to Canton, Michigan, for the first American Heartland Tournament of the season. The event saw the 36 teams, 20 varsity and 16 junior varsity, bowl in six games apiece.
The Warriors placed seventh overall in the Varsity standings, scoring 5,697 total pins. The team's 949.50 team series average is the fifth-highest in program history. Clinton Harris III's score of 1,283 is the fifth-highest mark in program history.
RCU SCORES
Clinton Harris III led the Warriors on the lanes with a sixth-place finish after totaling 1,283 pins and a high game of 233. Brian Henry was the only other RCU bowler to bowl all six games. Henry recorded 1,139 pins, scoring a 219 high game.
Jackson Vlassis, Mike Pupin, and Alex Miller all bowled in five of the six team games. Vlassis led the trio with a 1,010 score, while Pupin and Miller followed with a 923 and 817, respectively. Their high games were 227, 211, and 174, respectively.
Nolan Matz and Nehemiah Bachmann were the final two bowlers for the Varsity stage of the tournament. Mat totaled 311 pins in his two games, while Bachman scored 214 pins in his sole game.

RCU's JV team placed sixth in the JV field with a score of 5,330 pins.

REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES
Cleary University earned the team win, placing first with a score of 6,280 pins, outscoring Lawrence Tech by 21 pins.
Andrew Clark from Cleary would also earn the individual win after averaging 224.5 pins per game and totaling 1,347 pins.
