Men's Bowling season opens at the Jackson Open
(Jackson, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's bowling team opened up its 2025-26 campaign on Saturday at the first of four Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) events. The event featured 15 team games before bowling 16 baker games.
The team as a whole finished in eighth place and earned six points in the WHAC standings. Throughout the 15 team games the Warriors tallied 2,791 pins, before knocking down 3,022 pins in the 16 baker games for a total pinfall of 5,813.
RCU VARSITY SCORES
Mike Pupin led the group with a score of 613 throughout the three games with a 246 high game. Brian Henry was next up for the Warriors, scoring a 577 with a 205 high game.
Bowling in two games were Carter Harris, Jackson Vlassis, Clinton Harris III, and Nolan Matz. Carter Harris tallied 413 pins with a 214 high game, while Jackson Vlassis scored a 372 and a 224 high game. Clinton Harris III recorded a 355, with a 201 high game and Nolan Matz tallied a 303 and a 160 high game.
Alexander Miller rounded out the scoring with a 158 in his sole game.
RCU JV SCORES
The RCU JV squad would also place eighth in their respective standings with a total score of 5,243. They totaled 2,698 through the team games, before recording 2,545 pins in the baker games.
