BOWLING SHOWS SUCCESS OVER THE WEEKEND
GRANDVILLE, Mich. - The men's and women's bowling teams played in a tournament on Saturday and came away with a 2nd and 7th place finish at the West Michigan Laker Classic, hosted by Grand Valley over at Fairlanes Bowling Center in Grandville. The Warriors will compete next in the WHAC #2 tournament on November 10th.
Team Results: Rochester men's finished second in the 8-team field as the Warriors would lead the field in the first five team games. They would lose steam in the baker games and would finish 79 pins behind the first place team. The women's team would finish 7th and show their best result in school history. They did this with only four bowlers.
Individual Results: Ray Cerekas was the top individual for Rochester and placed 1st with a tourney average of 211.40. He was followed in scoring by Carter Scillion(207.80) and Macarlis Pender(173.80). Tamera Robinson was the top individual for Rochester and placed 2nd with a tourney average of 187.60. She was followed in scoring by Jordynn Matheson(174.80) and Kaydee Cooper(160).
What's Next?: Rochester will compete in the WHAC #2 tournament on November 10th at Wayne Bowl.
