Williams earns both Offensive and Defensive WHAC Player of the Week honors
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its weekly Players of the Week for December 1-7, and Rochester Christian's men's basketball's Tymias Williams earned honors for his combined offensive and defensive efforts in the Warriors' matches last week.
Williams, a junior from New Baltimore, Michigan, led the team offensively, averaging 25 points per game with 24 and 26 points, respectively, while shooting 57.1% from the floor. He added six assists across the two games as well. In addition to his offense, Williams brought down 19 total rebounds on the week, with 13 coming defensively. Five of his seven blocks on the week came against Aquinas, with three of the steals coming against Indiana Tech.
Williams' five blocks were the second most in a game in program history. This is also the first time an RCU player has won both the offensive and defensive honors in the same week since the WHAC separated the awards prior to the 2024-25 season.
Williams' pair of WHAC Player of the Week honors this week marks the fourth and fifth time this season he has earned honors, with his three previous occurring back on December 1 (Defensive), November 17 (Defensive), and October 27 (Offensive).
RCU will be back on the court against Cornerstone this coming Saturday, December 13, at the Garth Plesant Arena with a 3 PM tip-off.
