Men's Basketball's Williams and Fisher sweep first WHAC Player of the Week honors of the season
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its weekly Players of the Week for October 20-26. Rochester Christian's Tymias Williams and James Fisher swept the first men's basketball honors of the season, following the team's 97-87 OT win over Kentucky Christian last Saturday.
Williams, a junior from New Baltimore, Michigan, led the game in scoring, while also accounting for a total of 35 points, with 12 coming from his 6 assists. His 23 points are a career-high. He recorded 15 of his 23 points in the final 25 minutes of play.
Fisher, a senior from Armada, Michigan, led the Warriors on the defensive end by having several key blocks and steals in the game. He recorded three blocks in the final 10 minutes of regulation, including one in the final minute of regulation, in a 3-point game. He also recorded the second-most steals on the team in the game.
The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday, October 29, when they head to Michigan-Dearborn for the first WHAC game of the season.
