WARRIORS FALL TO LAWRENCE TECH'S SECOND-HALF PUSH

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - After a tight first half, the Warriors fell behind the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils 99-72 inside Don Ridler Fieldhouse on Saturday. A major second half by the Blue Devils that saw them shoot 10-18 from three opened the game up and made things tough for the Warriors. Three Warriors - Dustin Farrow, Brett White, and James Fisher - scored 18 points.

THE RUNDOWN

FIRST HALF

For the Warriors, the first half was one of their cleanest in taking care of the ball, with the team committing only one turnover in the first 20 minutes of play. However, RCU struggled to shoot the ball at an efficient clip, going 1-11 from three, while the Blue Devils went 4-10. Still, the Warriors attacked the paint and found success in that area, with Farrow starting the game 5-5 by attacking the basket, while Fisher scored 10 points.

The Blue Devils built up a ten-point lead 15 minutes into the first half, but RCU's emphasis on the paint kept that lead from getting out of hand. With a minute remaining, the Warriors managed to go on a 6-2 run behind layups from Farrow and Fisher to cut the lead to five heading into the halftime break.

SECOND HALF

The Warriors brought the game within four before the first media timeout of the second half thanks to a three by Farrow off an assist from Gunner Walters. On the possession following the timeout, Fisher took a steal all the way to the other end in transition for a layup to cut the lead to 49-47 with 16:05 remaining. Unfortunately for the Warriors, LTU picked that moment to get hot from three, nailing threes on six of their next eight possessions to balloon the lead to 72-55.

The Warriors continued to get to the line but couldn't match Lawrence Tech's offensive production, with the Blue Devils continuing to score inside and out. White heated up in the final five minutes, hitting two threes to slim down a large LTU lead. However, the Blue Devils rode the hot streak to the end, taking this game by a wide margin.
