WARRIORS POWER PAST LOURDES BEHIND BIG PERFORMANCES FROM WHITE AND FISHER

SYLVANIA, Ohio - In need of a huge win, the Warriors got one on the road against the Lourdes Gray Wolves on Wednesday night, winning 90-75 inside the Russel J. Ebeid Center. Warriors frontcourt players James Fisher and Brett White answered the call and scored 32 and 31 points, respectively, shooting over 80% from the field.

THE RUNDOWN

FIRST HALF

White was off to a hot start with an early three to get the Warriors rolling, assisted by Gunner Walters. Walters, who was en route to nine assists, made another great pass on the next RCU possession, setting up Fisher for an easy layup inside. The game was relatively even for the first ten minutes, with the Gray Wolves finding a counter for each RCU possession. However, that changed in the half's final seven minutes thanks to some big plays by RCU's frontcourt.

Following two free throws from White, the forward would steal a pass and set up Fisher for a score on the following possession. From there, the Warriors' momentum only grew, as White, Fisher, and forward Dustin Farrow attacked the paint to begin to create a multi-possession lead. With two minutes to go, Fisher blocked a shot and scored again to get the lead to seven. With time winding down in the period, White knocked down a jumper to beat the buzzer and put RCU up 44-36 at the half.

SECOND HALF

The Warriors continued to emphasize attacking the paint to begin the second half. Despite a slower offensive pace from both teams, the Warriors grew the lead by drawing fouls and knocking down free throws. Walters and Fisher connected on a pick-and-roll to put RCU up 12 ahead of the half's first media timeout. Before the timeout, White nailed a critical three to answer a brief run by the Gray Wolves.

Following the timeout, it was guard Brody Parker's turn to get involved, hitting a signature mid-range pullup in transition before getting a steal-and-score to give RCU their largest lead of the game at 18. The Gray Wolves briefly trimmed the lead, but Fisher's strong paint presence helped RCU stay in the driver's seat by 15 points. The Gray Wolves looked to speed the Warriors up by pressing, but a heads-up play by Parker to save the ball and throw it to Fisher to avoid a turnover led to a dunk that maintained RCU's advantage. RCU wrapped up the game with free throws and headed out with a win.

STAT OF THE GAME

Tonight's performances by Fisher and White mark the first time in program history that two Warriors scored 30+ points in the same game.
