WARRIORS DOWNED AT #RV INDIANA TECH
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Warriors couldn't match the offensive production of conference foes #RV Indiana Tech on Wednesday night, falling by a score of 87-62. After a tough first half offensively, RCU wasn't able to recoup the deficit in the second half, with Indiana Tech outscoring the Warriors despite a stronger offensive showing. Forward Brett White led the Warriors with 24 points, while four players on Indiana Tech scored in double-figures.
THE RUNDOWN
FIRST HALF
The Warriors were down early thanks to some brief runs by Indiana Tech to start the game, with RCU looking to find offense outside the three-point line following a Gunner Walters three. Missed two-point attempts by the Warriors were an issue, as Indiana Tech would convert defensive rebounds into quick buckets on the other end of the floor. Threes by the hosts widened the margin as the first half reached a close, but James Fisher would score on an and-one off a feed by Walters to end.
SECOND HALF
A strong start to the second half was a positive sign for RCU, as the team found success on the inside early by another layup from Fisher. White and Brody Parker knocked down threes on the next two possessions to cut the deficit to 11, but Indiana Tech recovered and went on another strong run to keep RCU at a solid distance. Farrow and Parker knocked down threes to try and swing another run the Warriors' way, but Indiana Tech continued finding answers and kept RCU at bay for the remainder of the game.
