The Warriors earned a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference title in a third consecutive year on April 5, winning the WHAC League of Legends Championship on the campus of Siena Heights University. RCU was the first two-seed ever to win a WHAC championship in League of Legends, defeating top-seeded and undefeated Indiana Tech 3-2.
Rochester Christian's Valorant program was recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) in its 2024 NACE All-Star Teams and Coach of the Year finalist release earlier this July. Cristian "Blankaims" Arbelaez was nominated to the NACE Valorant All-Stars Second Team, while eSports head coach Chris Ainhorn was nominated as a Coach of the Year finalist.
Warrior eSports has continued its successful openings to its respective seasons, with Valorant and Rocket League remaining undefeated in NACE play.
It’s been a busy, but exciting year for Warrior eSports, with Rocket League continuing its strong start to the year after winning the 2022 WHAC Championship and qualifying for CRL in its inaugural year. Also looking to make waves is the Valorant team, who have already made a splash in NACE play.
The Warriors’ Overwatch squad came up just short of a WHAC title in the 2023 Overwatch 2 WHAC Tournament, being defeated by Lourdes 4-2 after sweeping through their first two opponents.
