Rochester University cheerleading team soars to new heights
Ann Arbor, MI. - The Rochester University cheerleading team traveled to Concordia University and Siena Heights University this past weekend to compete in three competitions. The team made history and raised the bar for years to come.
On Saturday, the team scored a 74.20 breaking the previous high score record of a 65.83 achieved in the 2020 season. The team placed third following Concordia University who won with a score of 86.20 and Spring Arbor University who scored a 76.16. Following Rochester was Point Park University, Siena Heights University and Madonna University.
On Sunday, the team traveled to Siena Heights University where they would be competing in two competitions. The girls first competition was the Saints Spectacular, where the team competed against St. Ambrose University, Point Park University and Siena Heights University. The girls fought their way to second place earning a score of 70.31.
Shortly after the Saints Spectacular the team competed in a tri-meet against Siena Heights University and Point Park University. The team broke another record and won the tri-meet with a score of 72.10. Point Park University scored a 60.50 to earn second place and Siena Heights followed them into third.
Next weekend, the team will be competing in the Wolverine Hoosier Athletics Conference championship at Lourdes University.
