LARUE WINS SECOND WHAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
Warrior first baseman Jack LaRue was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season following an electric six-game stretch in the penultimate week of the WHAC regular season on Monday afternoon.
Warrior first baseman Jack LaRue was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season following an electric six-game stretch in the penultimate week of the WHAC regular season on Monday afternoon. LaRue, who set the program record for single-season home runs, is also the first Warrior to win WHAC Baseball Player of the Week multiple times in the same season.
LaRue had a monster week at the plate, hitting 0.620 (18-29) in eight games with seven doubles, a triple, three home runs, and 12 RBI. He notched a hit in every game played, including three 3+ hit games, and hit for the cycle in RCU's win over Cornerstone on Friday. LaRue sits second in the conference in home runs (12) and third in batting average (.412).
LaRue and the Warriors will compete in their final games of the season at home on Saturday and Sunday against Aquinas.
